Inclusive Teaching Toolkit
Practical strategies for teaching first-year students from diverse backgrounds.
Inclusive teaching fosters belonging and builds the academic confidence students need to succeed, particularly in the first year.
The Inclusive Teaching Toolkit brings together professional resources for individual and institutional growth, grounded in research on equity, belonging and academic literacies and shaped through co-design with educators and students.
These resources are freely available and can be adopted or adapted by other institutions working to improve student transition and equity in higher education.聽
Built in partnership聽
The Inclusive Teaching Toolkit is a collaborative initiative led by 91色情片 in partnership with the University of Sydney and the University of Newcastle and co-designed with the very students it supports. Students from equity backgrounds were consulted to ensure both toolkits reflect real transition experiences. Educators and academic support teams also contributed insights, shaping practical, inclusive resources for both students and staff.聽聽
By pooling expertise in equity, student support and transition pedagogy across three leading universities, the initiative reduces duplication, shares knowledge and delivers adaptable, open-access tools that promote confident and equitable student transitions.聽
This initiative is proudly supported by the Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success and the NSW Department of Education under the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).聽
