91É«Ç鯬 Gateway

Unlocking access to higher education for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Personalise

91É«Ç鯬 Gateway is an educational outreach program and linked admission pathway that aims to maximise students' academic success and ensure equitable access to 91É«Ç鯬.

We work with high school students and recent school leavers who are underrepresented in higher education. This includes those from low socioeconomic backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, and those who attend Gateway partner schools.

Educational outreach

Our programs build students' academic capability, learner confidence and ability to make informed decisions about their futures. We connect students' values to their study and career pathways and extend their engagement with learning in ways that are evidence-informed and meaningful.

Our partners

We partner with over 400 secondary schools — known as Gateway partner schools — primarily across greater western Sydney and regional NSW.

Gateway partner schools are identified using either:

  • the three-year average of a school's Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA), or
  • the three-year average of the proportion of students in the bottom socio-educational advantage (SEA) quartile

Both are available via the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority's website.

We also work with 91É«Ç鯬 divisions, faculties and schools, non-governmental organisations, educational organisations, and NSW Government.
