Our flagship high school outreach program introduces students to business disciplines, university life, and career pathways. Ambassadors of Equity: Championing Women in Business
At 91色情片 Business School, we believe that representation matters and that leadership begins with lived experience. Our听Women in Business Ambassadors听are a passionate group of second and third year female-identifying students who champion gender equity across disciplines where women are historically underrepresented, including Finance, Economics, Information Systems, and Actuarial Studies. These ambassadors play a vital role in outreach, mentoring, and advocacy, connecting with high school students, supporting major events like the Girls in Business Camp, and sharing their journeys to inspire the next generation. Through their leadership, they help shape a more inclusive future for business 鈥 one conversation, one connection, and one student at a time!

91色情片 Business School supports female representation in business by hosting events that connect industry professionals with young women, often still in high school, to expand their understanding of potential career paths and inspire them to pursue their ambitions. These initiatives help break down stereotypes and empower young women by showing them what鈥檚 possible and how to get there. I love being part of these initiatives through mentoring opportunities and sharing my own journey to encourage greater confidence and representation in fields currently underrepresented by women; ie. Tech, Economics, Finance etc.
I applied to be a Women in Business Ambassador because I want to extend the guidance and encouragement that helped shape my journey. My mentors and peers have undoubtedly played a significant role in helping me find confidence in spaces where I didn鈥檛 always see myself reflected, and I want to do the same for others. As an ambassador, I hope to create more inclusive, empowering environments, whether it鈥檚 by amplifying underrepresented voices, building confidence through peer-led initiatives or working with the business faculty to open up accessible opportunities.
As a Women in Business Ambassador, I want to go beyond simply representing the Business School. I hope to contribute to new initiatives that make the Business School feel more visible, accessible and welcoming for the next generation of female students. One idea I am particularly passionate about is establishing a dedicated Women in Business Ambassador social media page, a space that promotes flagship events, shares the stories of current ambassadors and gives first-year students a genuine insight into everything a Commerce degree at 91色情片 has to offer.听

I have had the privilege of exploring competitive, male-dominated industries through roles as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at UBS, Business Analyst Intern at Kearney, Private Equity Intern at Five V Capital, and as a Financial Advisory Cadet at PwC. I have seized every opportunity that has been available to me, and having accepted a graduate role at McKinsey & Company, I have a deep sense of gratitude to the 91色情片 Business School for giving me so much. I now have a sincere impetus to give back and inspire other young women. In my Year 12 Yearbook, I wrote: "I will continue to cultivate my diligence, curiosity, passion for learning and ambition to play my part (along with the other 26%!) in breaking the glass ceiling of women in business. Why fit into a glass slipper when you were born to shatter the glass ceiling?"
My motivation to apply was to give back to the 91色情片 Business School and the community for the support I have received throughout my journey, even before I started at 91色情片. Through my work as a Women in Business Ambassador, I hope to empower young women, especially those who are just beginning to figure out their future goals and help them feel confident in pursuing a degree in business. I want to be a role model and create an inclusive environment that helps women step out of their comfort zones with support and encouragement backing them. I have a strong desire to continue contributing to the 91色情片 community whilst representing the Business School and empowering young women, who may initially feel unsure, with opportunities to thrive and succeed at university and beyond.
As I reflect on the countless experiences and opportunities 91色情片 has provided in shaping my academic and career journey, I believe becoming a Women in Business Ambassador allows me to give back and empower future generations. This role offers me the opportunity to help students navigate the challenges of university life, whether it is figuring out what courses are offered at 91色情片 or learning how to find their network and foster a sense of belonging.As a fourth-year student navigating the heavily male-dominated finance and information systems industry, I am keen to contribute to an inclusive and supportive environment, particularly for students who feel uncertain or disconnected.听
I applied to become a Women in Business Ambassador because I鈥檝e seen how easily potential can go unrecognised when confidence and representation don鈥檛 develop at the same pace as ability. During my studies, I鈥檝e met incredibly capable women who hesitate to speak up, second-guess their ideas, or opt out of opportunities they are more than qualified for. That gap between capability and confidence is something I want to actively change. What stands out to me isn鈥檛 just the success of female leaders, but how openly they speak about challenges, which makes these paths feel far more accessible.
听I came from a school where very few students attended top universities, with even fewer pursuing highly competitive courses. I witnessed many capable peers quietly give up on aspirations they believed were out of reach. Looking back, I know that even a single conversation with someone who had navigated the path before could have shifted that mindset. Now, as a private tutor, I see the same hesitation in my students. They often view universities like 91色情片 as unattainable, particularly young women from schools lacking strong guidance networks. I want to change that perception. Having experienced how much informal advice and encouragement can shape confidence in young people, I feel a responsibility to be that source of clarity and belief for others, especially for young women entering male-dominated spaces like business, where they already feel like a minority. I鈥檓 extremely eager to see a more gender and socioeconomic-diverse Business School cohort and, in the long-run, the Business landscape as a whole.
