What questions will the survey ask?

There are two sets of questions in the myExperience survey – course and teacher questions.
Course questions

Note - in the live myExperience survey, the teacher's [Preferred name] + [Last name] will be listed in replacement of 'this teacher'. For example, 'Stephen Colbert encouraged student participation.'

  • The myExperience survey is completely confidential, but please note it is not anonymous.

    The survey is conducted in accordance with the myExperience Survey Procedure and the myExperience Survey Privacy Statement.ÌýÌýÌý

    Your responses will be managed in accordance with the Data Governance Policy and reported in an aggregated manner. No individual will be identified in the reporting of the survey results.

    By submitting your feedback, you are agreeing that it can be used for legitimate university teaching and research purposes. 

  • You can complete the 3-question PULSE survey through at any time during the semester. 

    It provides an opportunity to give regular feedback, allowing staff to understand what is working well and consider improvements. 

  • PULSE collects feedback during the semester to help staff understand what is working well and to consider improvements to the learning experience. 

    The myExperience survey is conducted near the end of the semester. It gathers feedback on each student’s experience of the course and teaching which is valuable to informing future improvements of the course.

Personal information collected by University of New South Wales (91É«ÇéƬ) in this survey will be used to better understand the student experience and improve learning, teaching and support services, including by combining this information with other information the University holds about you.  

Your personal information will not be included in any survey findings. Survey findings are reported in a de-identified and aggregated form and do not identify individuals. 

 91É«ÇéƬ may disclose your personal information to Explorance Inc., the provider of the technology platform for this survey. The provision of this information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide this information, you may be unable to complete the survey. 

 Personal information will be held by 91É«ÇéƬ and be accessible only by staff who require access for the Purposes. You can submit a request to access or amend any of your personal information you provide to 91É«ÇéƬ by emailing myexperience@unsw.edu.au. All personal information is managed in accordance with 91É«ÇéƬ’s Privacy Management Plan and Student Privacy Statement.
