Student participation in decision-making
Students help shape how 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru is run through representation on University committees and cells.  
91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru students can take part in decisions that affect their education in two ways: through student representation on 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru committees and cells and through 91É«ÇéÆ¬â€™s university-wide governance bodies, which includes elected student positions open to every 91É«Ç鯬 student, including 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru students. 
Where academic decisions are made 
The 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru Academic Committee monitors the rigorous quality, integrity and performance of academic programs at 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru. The Committee membership includes elected students, with student representatives contributing directly to discussions that shape programs, teaching and the wider student experience. 
91É«Ç鯬 is responsible for the ongoing academic quality of all the programs it delivers. Programs are approved by the 91É«Ç鯬 Academic Board, following endorsement by the Academic Board Programs CommitteeÌý²¹²Ô»å Faculty Board. These are the bodies that make formal academic decisions about the courses and programs you enrol in.

Student representation
91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru students can vote in, and stand for election to, student positions on:

Elections
Elections take place every two years for elected student positions on 91É«Ç鯬 Council and yearly for elected student positions on Academic Board and Faculty Boards.
All enrolled students receive election notices and voting instructions at their 91É«Ç鯬 email address. 
These positions are elected from across the whole 91É«Ç鯬 student body.

Student representation
The 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru student representative body will have elected roles covering academic matters, careers, and student activities and events.
Enrolled students will be notified via their 91É«Ç鯬 email address when nominations open.
Academic committee
The 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru Academic Committee will include student representatives and enrolled students will be notified via their 91É«Ç鯬 email address when nominations open.
Student safety and inclusion
Students can also participate in committees and cells that uphold student safety, equity, inclusion and prevent discrimination, including:
- Anti-Ragging Committee
- Equal Opportunity Cell
- Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell
- Gender Sensitisation Cell
- Internal Committee that considers reports of gender-based discrimination and harassment
