Learn about the 2-step enrolment process to secure your spot in your preferred courses at 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru
Step 1: Course enrolment
At the stage of course enrolment, you have the chance to secure your placement in courses (subjects) for the year ahead. This means you can enrol for courses across both semesters.Â
When can I enrol?
As a new student, you will be able to enrol in your first teaching period once you have accepted your offer.Â
As a continuing student, you will receive an annual Course Enrolment Appointment on . This is the specific date and time you can start to choose courses for the next academic year. Â
Follow our step-by-step guide below on how to enrol in courses on my91É«Ç鯬.Â
The program and course codes captured above are used as examples only. Refer to or the  for your specific codes.Â
- Log in to and head to 'My Student Profile' tab
- Select 'Update Your Enrolment' from the menu on the right-hand side
- Click 'Update Enrolment' for the correct year of your program once you're on the Year Selection page
- If you've just accepted your offer, wait for 24 hours before starting your enrolment process for the academic year. If you still cannot see the correct year after 24 hours, contact 91É«Ç鯬 Bengaluru Student Centre for help.
- If you can see the correct year but can't see the 'Update Enrolment' button, check if your Annual Enrolment Appointment has passed or not
- Select the relevant Teaching Period tab that you want to complete your course enrolment for. Proceed by selecting the options below:

Check which courses are required for your program
Before adding any courses to your enrolment basket, ensure that the courses you choose will count towards the completion of your degree. Use the following resources to guide you:
-  – Use our program progression planner platform for suggestions on which courses to enrol in based on their offering semesters.
- Â - This houses detailed program and course information, including a list of required courses, their requisites and timetable. When looking at program requirements, follow the Handbook of the year you started in your program.
- Class search function on  - Browse available courses in a specific teaching period and add them to your enrolment basket.
- Determine which course/s you'd like to take for that teaching period
- Navigate to the search field on the Course Enrolment page and input the course code (format: ABCDXXXX - e.g. WENG1000)
- Click 'Search' and the course should appear in your enrolment basket if it is offered in that teaching period. Repeat the steps for all your chosen courses
- Tick the boxes beside your courses under Select? and click on 'Confirm Enrolment Request'
- Review the summary of your request to ensure you have the correct courses and select 'Submit Enrolment Request'
- Check that the Success label is now available next to your selected course
- Select 'Back' to return to your enrolment basket. Your updated Course Enrolment page will now display a single green tick (✅) beside the courses you have successfully enrolled in.
What to do if you receive an error message
There are various reasons as to why your enrolment request might have been unsuccessful. Check that you are not enrolling in:
- Too many courses – the maximum units of credits (UOC) per teaching period is 24
- The wrong teaching period – ensure the course you'd like to take is offered in the correct teaching period
- Courses that you haven't met the requisites for – Check the for any corequisites or prerequisites to a course before enrolling on my91É«Ç鯬.

Read the instructions below if you'd like to swap a course you're already enrolled in for another course.
Doing it this way ensures that you will not lose your spot in your enrolled course until you complete all the steps below.
- Input the course code (format: ABCDXXXX - e.g. WENG1000) that you'd like to take in place of your enrolled course in the search field of the Course Enrolment page and click 'Search'
- Ensure the course you'd like is added to the enrolment basket
- Select 'Swap' on the enrolled course that you intend to swap
- Tick the radio button next to the course you'd like to swap to and click 'Select Course'
- Review the summary of your request before ticking the box under Select? on the Course Enrolment page and select 'Confirm Enrolment Request' then 'Submit Enrolment Request'
- Check that the Success label is now available next to your selected course
- Select 'Back to Courses' to return to your enrolment basket. Your updated Course Enrolment page will now display a single green tick (✅) beside the course you have successfully swapped to.

Beware of the implications before dropping courses
Take note of deadlines in your teaching period before dropping a course from your enrolment. Dropping after the Census Date may result in academic and/or financial penalties.
If you are only enrolled in one course for that teaching period, you will not be able to drop the course through my91É«Ç鯬. If you'd like to pause your studies for that teaching period, please apply for either:Â
- Program Leave if you intend to return in a later teaching period, orÂ
- Program Discontinuation if you do not intend to return.Â
If you drop out of a full course, you will not be able to regain your spot in the course unless a space opens up at a later time.Â
- Select 'Drop' next to the course that you no longer want to take
- Review the summary of your request on the Confirm Enrolment Request page and click on 'Submit Enrolment Request'
- Check that the Success label is now available next to your selected course
- Select 'Back to Courses' to return to your enrolment basket.

Step 2: Class registration
At the final stage of enrolment for the teaching period, class registration is your chance to finalise your timetable and select your classes for that semester.
You must complete this step for all of your courses, including fully online courses, internships, research and honours courses. If you don't do so, your courses will be dropped.Â
When can I register for classes?
You will receive an email prompting you to check your class registration appointment time on my91É«Ç鯬 closer to the start of the registration period. This appointment is the specific date and time you can start to choose your classes for the upcoming teaching period.Â
If you accept your offer less than six weeks prior to the start of the teaching period, try checking immediately for an appointment time. If the date of your appointment has passed, complete your class registration as soon as possible.
Follow our step-by-step guide below on how to register for classes on my91É«Ç鯬.Â
- Log in to my91É«Ç鯬 and head to 'My Student Profile' tab
- Select 'Update Your Enrolment' from the menu on the right-hand side
- Click 'Update Enrolment' on the row that indicates your current program and the correct year once you're on the Year Selection page
- Select the relevant Teaching Period tab that you want to complete your class registration for. Proceed by selecting the options below:

- Click on 'Select Classes' on the Course Enrolment page to see your current timetable and the available classes
- Choose one of each type of classes for all of your enrolled courses from the left sidebar of the page. You must choose an option for all class types listed under your course (e.g. LEC, TUT, LAB, WEB)
- Use the Filter Classes section at the top of the page to customise the selections on your timetable
- Select 'Auto Timetable' to choose all classes automatically. You will be able to change the selected classes if there are other options available
- Click on 'Select Classes' again once you have reviewed your timetable and ready to finalise your class selections
- Confirm your class registration by ticking the boxes under Select? next to your enrolled courses
- Click 'Confirm Enrolment Request'
- Select 'Submit Enrolment Request' after reviewing your class choices
- Check that the Success label is now available next to your selected course/s
- Select 'Back' to return to your enrolment basket. Your updated Course Enrolment page will now display two green ticks (✅ ✅) beside the courses you have successfully enrolled in.
What to do if you receive an error message
When selecting your classes, you might run into an error if you have not:
- chosen all class types for each course. If you have a class that is asynchronised, you will still need to select it even if it does not show up on the timetable
- chosen class times that are clashing with each otherÂ
- If the clash in your timetable is shown in red, you will need to select another class to remove the clash
- If the clash in your timetable is shown in orange, the clash is permitted by your Course Authority and will not stop you from selecting those classes
- chosen a full class. If the class you selected is at capacity, you will need to choose another time for that class component.
- If the class you selected is full, there will be a red cross next to the class slot on the left sidebar of the page
- If the class is almost full, there will be an orange triangle next to the class slot on the left sidebar of the page.

- Click on 'Select Classes' to see your current timetable
- Choose your new class preferences from the left sidebar menu. Your new class/es will appear in grey and the class that you'd like to swap will display as a faded green
- Click 'Select Classes' once you're ready to proceed
- Expand the Show Classes accordion to see your selected classes. The class you'd like to change to will have an orange warning sign to indicate that you have not yet registered for the class
- Tick the box under Select? and click on 'Confirm Enrolment Request'
- Review the summary of your request and proceed with 'Submit Enrolment Request'.Ìý
- Check that the Success label is now available next to your selected class/es
- Select 'Back' to return to your enrolment basket. Your updated Course Enrolment page will now display two green ticks (✅ ✅) beside the courses you have successfully enrolled in.

If you plan to stay enrolled in the course, you will not be able to drop a class. You can either:
- Change your class times by swapping a class, or
- Drop the course entirely. Beware of financial and/or academic penalties.Â
View your class timetable
Throughout the teaching period, you'll be referring to your class timetable to see when your classes are running each week. Sometimes you might not have a class in a certain week such as during the Study Period. Here is how you can check when classes are running:
- Log in to and head to 'My Student Profile' tab
- Select 'Class Timetable' from the menu on the right-hand side to see your classes by week.
Each class slot on the timetable will house some key information, including course code, time, class type, the weeks in which it is running and the location, if applicable.
Understanding your class types
- LEC: Lecture
- TUT: Tutorial
- SEM: Seminar
- WEB: Web delivery (class is taught fully online)
- LAB: Laboratory
