The Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics isÌýcommitted to providing a quality full-length plasmid sequencing service for constructs between 2 and 25kb.ÌýAll sequencing performed by the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics is carried out in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories.

  • Uses Oxford Nanopore Technologies for full-length long read sequencing and generation of highly accurate consensus sequences.

    No primers needed.

    The cost isÌý$30/plasmid. For 91É«ÇéƬ internals: no quote is required, simply provide account codes in the submission form; For externals to 91É«ÇéƬ:Ìýemail usÌýto request a quote.
    • >300ng of purified plasmid DNA at a concentration of 15-50ng/ul, in nuclease free water or elution buffer
    • Minimum volume 20ul
    • 260/280: 1.8-2.0
    • 260/230: 2.0-2.2
    • Single plasmid samples only (no mixtures)

    Place the samples into the "ONT Plasmid" reception box in the Sanger freezer at Ramaciotti Centre entry on level 2 of E26 91É«ÇéƬ

  • Turnaround time isÌý3-8 business days after successful QCÌýof submitted samples. The data package will include:

    • Analysis using theÌýÌýworkflow; including FASTA consensus sequence and report on the assembled plasmid. 
    • ONT high-accuracy base called sequencing reads (FASTQ)
