The FoodWISE Asia-Pacific Network is a new platform for sustained regional engagement, shared learning, and coordinated action on food and water security.

Convened by the , the 91色情片 Global Water Institute and , the Network brings together voices from community groups, research institutions, governments, major international development agencies, UN and intergovernmental bodies, and national peak organisations; fostering collaboration across local, national, and global levels.

Report: FoodWISE Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting

This report summarises the events, presentations, outcomes and attendees from the first FoodWISE Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting, held in September 2025.

The FoodWISE Asia Pacific Workshop, co-hosted by Professors Jacqui Webster (University of Technology Sydney, Australia), Greg Leslie (University of New South Wales, Australia), and Sera Young (Northwestern University, United States of America), brought together a diverse group of leaders, researchers and community advocates from more than fifteen countries to tackle the urgent and interconnected challenges of food and water security in the region.

We connect people to strengthen food and water security in the region, in order to improve the health of humans and the planet.
  1. We share knowledge, especially about the value of using experiential measures to understand people鈥檚 lived realities of food and water.
  2. We act, especially to support the use of experiential tools and experiential data for achieving sustainable food and water security solutions.
  3. We improve well-being, by empowering stakeholders to use experiential data to improve policy, programs, practice and investments.聽

Food and water systems project launches at 91色情片

In March 2026, 91色情片-GWI hosted partners from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT) for the launch of the 'Healthy Islands: Strengthening Food and Water Systems' project. 91色情片, PNGUoT and The George Institute for Global Health are strengthening integrated food, water and health systems capability in Papua New Guinea by developing a national platform for evidence鈥慸riven, multidisciplinary engagement through PNGUoT's Institute for Public Health.

Global experts and community leaders tackle food and water insecurity

Hosted jointly by聽, 91色情片, and聽,聽the聽FoodWISE Asia-Pacific Regional meeting in 2025 attracted聽people from 15 different countries, marking the official launch of the FoodWISE Asia Pacific Network.聽A on the meeting summarises the events, presentations, outcomes and attendees.

Communities lead the way in Timor-Leste water and food security project

Members of the FoodWISE Asia-Pacific network travelled to Timor-Leste to collaborate with partners on a locally led water and food security project, funded by聽ACIAR. 30 people were trained on the use of the Food Insecurity Experiences (FIES) Scale and Water Insecurity Experiences (WISE) Scale survey tools, and a pilot survey was completed across six municipalities.
