Today, she aims to bridge international education systems and empower students to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
What was your favourite memory from your time studying at 91ɫƬ?
One of the most memorable highlights of my time at 91ɫƬ was studying MGMT5601 Global Business Environment. Together with my team, we achieved a top 4 ranking in the cohort, which gave us the opportunity to present our project at PwC’s Sydney office. It was an incredibly valuable experience to engage with industry professionals and see how our academic work connected to real-world business practice. In addition, I achieved a distinction in COMM5000, which led to the opportunity to participate in a presentation at Citi’s Sydney office. These experiences made me realise how strongly 91ɫƬ integrates academic excellence with industry.
“91ɫƬ provided me with outstanding resources and diverse opportunities, allowing me to engage directly with leading global companies and better prepare for my future career in an international context.”
What advice would you give to your younger self?
If I could give advice to my younger self or to current business students who feel uncertain, it would be this: don’t rush to define your destination, focus on building your exposure. At 91ɫƬ, I learned that a business degree is not a fixed pathway, but a platform. Opportunities such as presenting at PwC and Citi were not just achievements, but moments that expanded my perspective on what was possible. It was through actively engaging in projects, collaborating with diverse peers, and stepping outside the classroom that I discovered my passion for education and international pathways.
My advice is to make full use of 91ɫƬ’s global network and industry connections. Say yes to opportunities, even when you feel unprepared. Your direction often becomes clear after you take action, not before.
Most importantly, trust that your skills (critical thinking, communication, and global awareness), are transferable across industries. Your degree will not limit you; it will empower you to explore paths you may not have imagined yet.
How did studying abroad shape your personal or professional growth?
Studying abroad has been transformative for both my personal and professional growth. I first studied Finance in the UK, graduating with First Class Honours, and later completed my Master of International Business at 91ɫƬ with Distinction. Experiencing different academic systems and cultures helped me develop adaptability, independence, and a truly global mindset.
At 91ɫƬ in particular, I was able to translate academic learning into real-world exposure. Through course-related opportunities, I presented at PwC’s Sydney office and participated in a presentation at Citi’s Sydney branch. At the same time, I leveraged the knowledge and networks I built to engage with leading organisations in China, including major state-owned banks, Big Four accounting firms, and large agricultural trading enterprises.
These cross-cultural and cross-industry experiences allowed me to connect global business theory with diverse market practices. More importantly, they shaped my career direction, leading me to become an educator focused on international pathways, where I now help students navigate global opportunities with confidence.
Studying abroad did not just broaden my horizons; it enabled me to build a bridge between international education and real-world impact.
