Your zID and password provide secure access to all your 91É«Ç鯬 digital resources and services. Remember, for added security, use a strong passphrase – one that is complex and difficult to guess.

Identity Manager self-service

The Identity Manager self-service portal allows students and staff to activate their account for the first time and manage their zID password in the future.

Important: To access all features of the self-service portal, please make sure your my91É«Ç鯬 profile includes either a personal email address or mobile phone number.

Help and FAQs

  • Within the self-service portal, please use the Are you new hereÌý´Ú±ð²¹³Ù³Ü°ù±ð.

  • Please allow up to 10 minutes for your new zID password to be replicated and synchronised across 91É«Ç鯬 systems. Remember to update your password on your other mobile devices.

  • If you have forgotten your password, or it has expired, you will need to use the Forgot your password feature. You may have to use another device to access Identity Manager.Ìý

    Complete the information requested and indicate whether you’d like to receive a one-time passcode by email to your personal email address or SMS to your mobile phone.ÌýOnce you receive the one-time passcode, you can use it to continue with the steps to create a new password.

    Important: Please ensure that you have registered a personal email address or mobile phone number in your profile.

  • If you enter an incorrect zID password too many times, your zID account will be locked. When creating/changing your password remember to update your password on your other mobile devices as well.

    Within Identity Manager, use the Unlock your account feature. Complete the information requested andÌýindicate whether you’d like to receive a one-time passcode via your personal email address or SMS via your mobile phone.ÌýOnce you receive the one-time passcode, you can use it continue with the steps to unlock your account.

    Important: Please ensure that you have registered a personal email address or mobile phone number in your profile.

  • Your registered personal email address or mobile phone number is initially based on the details you provided with your application to the University. ÌýFollow these steps to check or update your details in my91É«Ç鯬:

    1. Login toÌýÌý
    2. SelectÌýMy ProfileÌýtabÌý
    3. Using theÌýPersonal DetailsÌýlink on the left-hand side panel, update either:
      a) Your email address.ÌýYou must have a personal email address defined for Email TypeÌýHome.
      b) Your Phone number.ÌýYou must have aÌýMobileÌýnumber defined.Ìý
    4. ClickÌýSave.
  • No. One of the password conditions is that you cannot re-use any of your last 10 passwords or create one highly similar. When using the Identity Manager self-service portal it will advise you of required password conditions.Ìý

  • No. 91É«Ç鯬 Identity Manager is used to reset the password for your zID only.
