Regulating the availability of alcohol is a key approach to reduce harm from alcohol consumption and local governments play a significant role.
This fellowship examined the impact and development of local government regulation on alcohol availability based on comparative policy analysis.
The findings have informed planning and licensing policies at state and local government levels to help regulate alcohol outlets with a focus on reducing harms associated with retail outlets.
