Renishaw - Virsa Raman Analyser
(532 nm)
Description
The Virsa Raman Analyser is a versatile lab-based Raman system designed specifically for non-standard, bulky specimens and in-situ electrochemical cell experiments. It combines high-performance capabilities with fibre-coupled probes, enabling precise chemical characterisation of dynamic and oversized samples.
Specifications
-
- Laser & Grating: Configured with a 532 nm (green) laser and an 2400 l/mm grating for optimal spectral analysis.
- User Requirements: Users must supply their own electrochemical cell and potentiostat for in-situ experiments.
-
- Macro & Large Sample Analysis: Equipped with a fibre-optic probe (532 nm) designed for rapid, non-destructive chemical characterisation. Features a flexible probe mount that adjusts to a 90掳 (horizontal) configuration, allowing alignment for large, bulky, or irregular samples (such as artwork and structural components) without sample cutting or destruction.
- In-Situ Electrochemical Raman: The Virsa鈥檚 design easily fits custom electrochemical cell setups for in-situ analysis, enabling real-time monitoring of catalytic reactions, interfacial chemistry, and energy storage materials under active potential control.
- Cultural Heritage & Materials Research: Exceptional for non-invasive chemical fingerprinting of precious artefacts, canvases, and advanced material structures.
Applications
- Molecular characterisation of bulky artwork
- Non-destructive pigment analysis
- In-Situ dynamic process monitoring
