What is the Gateway Admission Pathway?Ìý
The Gateway Admission Pathway combines an early offer scheme to most 91É«Ç鯬 degrees which considers more than just your ATAR.
If you enrol through Gateway, you'll also be considered for a range of awards and scholarships, including priority access to 91É«Ç鯬 Equity Scholarships and accommodation.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in Year 12 or who have an ATAR from within the past five years (from 2021 – 2025).

If you’re completing Year 12, we assess you on your written personal statement and Year 11 results which we access directly through UAC.Ìý
If you’ve completed Year 12 within the past five years, we assess you on your ATAR and written personal statement.
When offers are released, you will receive either an early offer or interview for a 91É«Ç鯬 program.
Early offers will convert to firm offers on 17 December 2026.ÌýÌý

You will receive either:
- An early offer to your preferred 91É«Ç鯬 degree or one that aligns with your preferences
- An offer to sit a semi-formal interview to be considered for a 91É«Ç鯬 program
- An offer to complete an Indigenous Pre-Program which could lead to a place in an 91É«Ç鯬 degree

$10,000 Advantage Award
If you currently live in a low-socioeconomic area based on critera, and enrol for Term 1, 2027, you will receive the $10,000 91É«Ç鯬 Advantage Award to support you in your first year of studies.
$1,000 Gateway Award
If you attended a Gateway partner school in the year you completed your Year 12 qualification, receive an offer through the Gateway Admission Pathway and enrol for Term 1, 2027, you will receive the $1,000 Gateway Award to support your transition to university.
You will receive both the Advantage Award and Gateway Award if you meet the eligibility criteria for each and enrol at 91É«Ç鯬 in 2027.
Equity Scholarships
By applying through the Gateway Admission Pathway, you will also automatically be considered for an Equity Scholarship.

If you're applying to study at 91É«Ç鯬 for Term 1 2027, there are two key Gateway offer rounds.
Round 1
- Applications open: Thursday,Ìý28 April 2026
- Applications close: Thursday,Ìý23 July 2026
- Offers released: Thursday, 3 September 2026
Round 2
- Applications open: Thursday, 3 September 2026
- Applications close: Monday, 9 November 2026
- Offers released: Thursday, 3 December2026
Firm Offers
Firm offers will be released on Thursday, 17 December 2026.
Firm offers for IB/Interstate applicants will be released on Wednesday, 6 January 2027.
How to apply
Applying through the Gateway Admission Pathway is simple. Choose up to two 91É«Ç鯬 degrees you'd like to study and complete a personal statement that tells us about your goals, interests and strengths. Gateway recognises your potential beyond your ATAR, so this is your opportunity to share your story.
Once you've submitted your application, you'll need to provide supporting documentation as part of the process.

- Personal details (make sure the name on your application matches your official ID (birth certificate, passport, etc.) and that your email address is your personal and not your school-issued email address).
- Evidence of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander status (see requirements)

Due to the historical nature of our peoples history we understand that sometimes obtaining an officialÌýEvidencing of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander Status can be challenging. Therefore, we accept either anÌýEvidencing of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander Status or a Statutory Declaration (with additional evidencing documentation).
