At college, we start with consent training during O-Week, which teaches us how to respect each other鈥檚 boundaries and space. There鈥檚 also amazing campus security鈥攜ou can call them anytime if you feel uncomfortable. But honestly, I鈥檝e never felt unsafe. Whether I鈥檓 walking back from dance or heading home with friends at night, campus feels like a safe bubble.

When you live on campus, you鈥檙e surrounded by familiar faces at uni and college, so there鈥檚 a real sense of community. There鈥檚 always someone around to help, whether it鈥檚 friends studying the same degree or the college staff and resident mentors. Even when you鈥檙e unsure where to go for support, you know someone here will point you in the right direction.

I鈥檝e spoken with the wellbeing officer in accommodation - so helpful and easy to talk to. The officer supports all the colleges and can connect you with other services if needed. Having that kind of support on campus makes a big difference, especially for students who might find it hard to seek help elsewhere.
