Wayne Williamson is a Senior Research Associate at the City Futures Research Centre. Wayne studied and worked in the information technology industry before becoming an urban planner. He has worked in strategic planning and housing policy for local and state government for the past 18 years.

Wayne鈥檚 PhD investigated聽community group and government agency use of social media in planning practice. Other research interests include the adoption and use of various digital technologies in planning practice, planning discourse in the media and social networks.

Wayne is currently working at CFRC on the Australian Research Council funded project - AI, Cities and Development Assessment, which is investigating the trustworthy use of AI in urban Development Assessment:
