Dr Lukasz Swiatek lectures in the School of the Arts and Media at 91ɫ��Ƭ. He is also a university Academic Mentor, an Associate of the Australian Human Rights Institute, and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for the Advancement of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Working in universities since 2008, he has lectured in both arts and business faculties at four universities in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. In that time, he has received eleven accolades for his research, teaching and service.

Across diverse settings, he has taught thousands of students in both small and large cohorts. (The total number of students in his courses, per year, has ranged from over 100 to over 1,800). He has developed and led a range of undergraduate and postgraduate (junior and senior) courses. With various colleagues, he has also led extracurricular activities for students (developing their leadership capabilities and enterprise skills), as well as facilitated industry events. Additionally, he has supervised PhD, Master and Honours students (internally and externally) to successful completion. Each year, his receives hundreds of visitors from around the globe.

Currently, he mainly researches strategic communication management, organisational behaviour and higher education, especially in relation to sustainable wellbeing, ethics and technological developments. Other areas of research cover reward and recognition, journalism and event management. A wealth of practical industry experience and community work - in reporting, editing, management and integrated communication - help inform his research. He has led both large and small projects with domestic and international colleagues from multiple disciplines. To date, all of this research activity has yielded over fifty academic publications.

In addition to community work, he has provided extensive academic service and leadership, especially in higher education, communication and media studies. At the local level, diverse efforts (ranging from international study tour organisation to first-year student welcome coordination) have benefited departments, schools, faculties and whole universities. At the national and international levels, a range of activities (from running academic development events to overseeing communities of practice) has helped thousands of stakeholders. Dozens of media engagements - both interviews and articles - have also reached countless individuals worldwide.
