I am a behavioural neuroscientist interested in听cognitive processes that go awry in neuropsychiatric disorders.听Using animal models I study the brain听circuits underlying听attention, learning and decision-making. We use sophisticated behavioural paradigms听to dissect听the psychological mechanisms underlying complex behaviour, in combination with听various听tools including chemogenetics, optogenetics and pharmacology to manipulate brain circuits.听I am particularly interested in听translational preclinical听mental health research to bridge the bench to bedside gap, with my current project focused on听understanding habits, impulsive and compulsive responding in disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and schizophrenia.
