Dr. Milita Zaheed is a genetic oncologist. She completed her medical oncology training at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Concord Hospital, and her cancer genetics training at Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Her PhD, completed through the 91色情片 Centre for Molecular Oncology, was titled "Germline Cancer Predisposition in the Genomic Era of Cancer Care." It focused on improving methods for identifying patients and families with a genetic predisposition to cancer, using whole genome sequencing and comprehensive tumour genomic profiling, as well as the use of comprehensive screening programs, including whole body MRI, in Li-Fraumeni Syndrome as a model of care for individuals at high genetic risk of multi-organ cancers.
She has long served as a molecular tumour board member for Omico's MoST program and now its successor, the CaSP program, where her work focuses on identifying patients who may unknowingly carry a germline pathogenic variant, detected through tumour profiling conducted for therapeutic purposes.
