SWAN Genomics has developed a new plasmonic nanoantenna-based single-molecule DNA sequencing platform. The core technology enables DNA sequencing that is not constrained by complex workflows and enables complete genomic insight on a single platform for the first time. This includes direct methylation detection and RNA sequencing, all on a scalable, low-cost read-length agnostic platform.

Today’s DNA sequencing technologies are well suited for research applications, but multiple expensive workflows are required to gain comprehensive clinical or biological insight, thus limiting broad adoption in the larger applied markets.

Beachhead market is oncology diagnostics and treatment response monitoring as an early path to revenue in much broader clinical and biotechnology sectors including agriculture, biosecurity, biomanufacturing and synthetic biology.
