Overview: Learn the essential skills needed to prepare scientific images responsibly and effectively. This hands-on workshop introduces core image processing concepts using Fiji/ImageJ, including image formats, bit-depth, lookup tables (LUTs), contrast adjustment, noise reduction, and basic corrections such as flat-fielding.

The focus is on producing clear, accurate images for communication and publication while maintaining data integrity. By the end of the session, you’ll understand how processing choices affect image appearance and how to apply common adjustments appropriately.

The emphasis is on turning images into data — understanding what can be measured, how analysis choices influence results, and how to approach reproducible, defensible image analysis.

Overview: This workshop will cover the basics of pixel based colocalisation analysis. If you are acquiring multi-channel data and you wish to make some claims about the distribution of one signal relative to that of another this workshop will be a good starting point to try and determine and understand what colocalisation coefficient would be the most appropriate to use for your studies.

The majority of this workshop is targeted at furthering your understanding of what colocalisation really means once you get to making a measurement, but it will conclude with either a demonstration, or a participation component, to show how you can go about making your measurements.

Overview: This workshop will concentrate on automating tasks in FIJI to suit your bespoke research goals. If you know what you want to achieve but find yourself weary from all the clicking, we'll guide you through the process of recording and editing macros, as well as crafting scripts using Groovy.
