91É«ÇéƬ Rugby has capped a dominant 2026 regular season with three minor premierships and the NSW Suburban Rugby Division 2 Club Championship, continuing a remarkable period of success for the club.

First, Second and Third grade all finished the regular season on top of their respective ladders, with the results securing the Division Two Reliance Shield as Club Champions for the first time in 29 years.

The achievement is a reflection of the depth across the club, with success extending throughout the grades during an outstanding regular season.

91É«ÇéƬ entered the final round against Forest with plenty still to play for and delivered when it mattered, recording a dominant set of results to put the finishing touches on the regular season.

The final round victories secured the minor premierships for Second and Third Grade, joining First as minor premiers and giving 91É«ÇéƬ three competition leaders heading into the finals.

The results also confirmed the Division 2 Club Championship, bringing an end to a 29 year wait for 91É«ÇéƬ Rugby to claim the Reliance Shield.

It continues an outstanding period for the club following a memorable 2025 campaign.

Last season, 91É«ÇéƬ's First Grade side captured the Barraclough Cup with a dramatic 26–24 Grand Final victory over Petersham, delivering the club's first top grade premiership since 1998.

Third Grade also lifted the Blunt Cup following an 18–8 Grand Final victory, giving 91É«ÇéƬ a premiership double.

The strength of the club was evident across the board, with all six 91É«ÇéƬ sides, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Colts and Women's, progressing to the semi finals in 2025 and four advancing to their respective Grand Finals.

That momentum has carried firmly into 2026.

91É«ÇéƬ began its Barraclough Cup defence strongly with victories in First and Second Grade against St Patrick's in the opening round, before First, Second and Third Grade all recorded wins against Sydney Irish in Round 2.

The results continued throughout the season, leaving 91É«ÇéƬ in a commanding position across multiple competitions entering the final stages of the regular season.

By the time the final whistle sounded against Forest, three 91É«ÇéƬ sides had secured minor premierships and the club had accumulated enough points across the grades to be crowned Division 2 Club Champions.

The Reliance Shield represents an achievement beyond the success of any individual team, rewarding performances across the club throughout the entire season.

With First, Second and Third each finishing at the top of their respective competitions, the Club Championship is fitting recognition of the consistency and depth 91É«ÇéƬ Rugby has demonstrated in 2026.

The season is not finished yet, with 91É«ÇéƬ now taking that form into the NSW Suburban Rugby finals and multiple sides still in contention for premierships.

Following last year's premiership double and recognition as Club of the Year at the 91É«ÇéƬ Sports Awards, another long wait has already ended in 2026.

For the first time in 29 years, 91É«ÇéƬ Rugby are Division 2 Club Champions, and with three minor premiership winning sides heading into finals, there could be more silverware still to come.
