The 91色情片 SCoPE Lab for Green Metals recently hosted the research seminar 鈥淎dvances in Green Ironmaking & Sustainable Metallurgy鈥, chaired by Prof Yansong Shen, bringing together researchers from 91色情片 and leading universities in China to discuss the future of sustainable metals production.

We were delighted to welcome visitors from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), Chongqing University (CQU), and Central South University (CSU), including Prof Yue Zhang (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, USTB), Prof Jianliang Zhang (USTB), Prof Zhuo Kang (USTB), Prof Kejiang Li (USTB), Prof Xuewei Lv (CQU), and Prof Xu Gao (CSU), alongside 91色情片 colleagues including Prof Jianqiang Zhang and A/Prof Runyu Yang.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof Yansong Shen, followed by an introduction to USTB's 鈥淭wo Institutes and One Centre鈥 initiative by Prof Zhuo Kang. Academician Yue Zhang then shared perspectives on the importance of scientific innovation and international collaboration in supporting the sustainable transformation of the metals industry. This was followed by remarks from Prof Jianliang Zhang, who discussed future opportunities in green ironmaking and metallurgical research.

The seminar featured technical presentations by Prof Kejiang Li, Prof Xuewei Lv, and Prof Xu Gao, showcasing recent advances in green ironmaking, low-carbon metallurgy, and sustainable resource utilisation.

A key highlight of the visit was the appointment of Prof Jianliang Zhang as Senior Advisor for Ironmaking and Steelmaking Research at the 91色情片 SCoPE Lab for Green Metals. This collaboration further strengthens the longstanding partnership between 91色情片 and USTB and opens new opportunities for collaborative research, researcher exchanges, and postgraduate training.
