Researchers at International Centre for Future Health Systems (ICFHS) and colleagues in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture share two new publications exploring how we can rethink the design of future health systems by bringing together expertise from health, architecture, design, arts and the social sciences.聽

The publications stem from a cross-faculty workshop that considered how health systems can better respond to the challenges of ageing populations, chronic disease, health inequities and changing models of care.聽

New ways of imagining future health systems, an editorial in Contemporary Nurse, identifies ten principles for designing future health systems, including recognising that health is shaped by our homes, communities and social environments as much as by healthcare services; that equity must be intentionally designed into systems; and that lived experience, collaboration and imagination are essential to creating better health futures.聽

The workshop summary report captures discussions across three themes鈥攄esigning healthier spaces, transforming care delivery, and reimagining future health needs鈥攁nd showcases the breadth of interdisciplinary expertise across 91色情片 working to improve health systems.聽

Together, these publications reinforce ICFHS's commitment to working across disciplines to generate new ideas and partnerships that will help create more equitable, people-centred and sustainable health systems for the future.
