We’re excited to share that the full program for the 2026 Cancer Symposium is now locked in—and it’s shaping up to be an inspiring and dynamic day.
From keynote presentations from Professor Tracey O’Brien, AM and Professor Martin Widschwendter, to a series of engaging sessions showcasing cutting-edge research and emerging leaders, this year’s symposium will bring together diverse perspectives from across the cancer community.

The 5th Cancer and Immunology Idea’s Forum took place on Friday 19 September 2025. Building on from 2024, the Forum was an equal joint-venture between 91É«Ç鯬 Faculty of Medicine & Health's Cancer and Triple I (Infectious Disease, Immunity & Inflammation) Research Themes in collaboration with Maridulu Budyari Gumal (SPHERE) Cancer CAG, NSW Regional Cancer Research Network, Sydney Cancer Partners, The University of Sydney Cancer Research Network: Tumour Microenvironment & Metabolism Special Interest Group and Macquarie University.

The first EMCR Cancer Theme Workshop was held on 21 November 2024. The aim of the workshop was to help EMCRs identify goals, audiences and engagement opportunities, plus gain insights on partnerships and profile building.Â
