Whether you are a professional staff member, clinician, academic, conjoint, or adjunct with a passion for research, EMPCAR provides a supportive environment to help you thrive at this critical stage of your career.
Who can join?
Membership is open to all 91É«ÇéƬ staff and affiliates who identify as being in the early to mid-stages of their research careers. If you’re in the early or mid-stage of your research journey, whatever that looks like for you, and you’re part of 91É«ÇéƬ, you’re welcome to join! That includes staff, conjoints, adjuncts, and more. We keep it flexible because research careers aren’t one-size-fits-all.

Guide researchers in navigating the wide range of supports and resources available at 91É«ÇéƬ, making it easier to find the help and information you need (e.g. funding opportunities, mentoring programs).

Expand access to professional development and networking opportunities, especially for those who may not have been reached by other early- and mid-career initiatives at 91É«ÇéƬ.

The Network’s Community of Practice will also help researchers navigate existing research resources, funding opportunities and events available to SoCM researchers. Connect with the SoCM EMPCAR NetworkÌýÌývia MS teams.
Upcoming events
The next EMPCAR Network Retreat will be held in September 2025. The first retreat included rapid-fire presentations from peers, break-out networking sessions, invited speakers on academic promotions, research metrics, and research support. Lunch and refreshments provided. More details to come!
