The Policy Transformation Program (PTP) operationalises the revised 91É«ÇéƬ Policy Framework, which came into effect in 2024. Under the framework, policies focus on core obligations and requirements, while operational guidance is managed by relevant leaders at a lower level.

By the end of 2027, the PTP will reduce the University's policy collection of 260+ documents to a single Code of Conduct and Values and 23 policies. The result will be a smaller, easier-to-maintain policy suite that strengthens governance and provides greater clarity and consistency for the 91É«ÇéƬ community.

The transformation process includes:

• reviewing each document in the policy collectionÌý
• consolidating related requirements into topic-based policy suites
• identifying opportunities to update and future-proof policy contentÌý
• applying plain language principles to ensure greater clarity
• publishing operational requirements as another document type (Instructions)Ìý

EachÌý project will engage staff, students, committees and subject matter experts to ensure the policies remain fit-for-purpose and meet the needs of the 91É«ÇéƬ community. As the policy reaches a mature draft, it will also be placed online, giving everyone the opportunity to review proposed changes and submit feedback.

Once the policy is published, relevant senior leaders are accountable for overseeing the ongoing management and implementation of the policy.Ìý

Ultimately, the program is presided over by the PTP Steering Committee, who provides direction and are the overall authority for the program.
