Dr Yanyan Lao is a research associate at the School of Chemical Engineering and a member of the CRL lab led by Prof. Cordelia Selomulya. Her research focuses on plant protein modification, the design of food colloid systems (emulsions, gels, foams), in vitro digestion characterisation, flavour improvement, and the development of sustainable food products such as dairy alternatives.

Dr Miranda Dike Yang is a PhD graduate in Chemical Engineering and Food Technology at 91É«ÇéƬ Sydney. Her research focuses on flavour encapsulation using spray drying to extend the shelf life of liquid flavour concentrates and improve how they perform when used in food products. She is interested in research and product development in the food industry, particularly applying her chemical engineering background and practical skills to developing products for commercialisation and manufacture.

Lilah is a Ph.D. student working on enhancing the water vapor barrier of polysaccharide-based edible films for food applications.

Canice Yiu is a Ph.D. student working on cheese analogs.

Xue is a Ph.D. student working on the development of plant-based protein gels with enhanced functionality.

Ph.D. researcher with a research focus on developing a systematic understanding of grain drying using first principles of heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, and process modeling.
