Artist statement

This work represents a humorous take on the irony of the ‘All Natural’ phenomenon that influences the current marketing of products to consumers. Playing on the belief that ‘Natural is Always Better’, a notion which often strongly influences purchasing decisions, these paintings depict new various product designs.

Yet each product’s main ingredient or material happens to be a highly toxic element that is found in nature. These posters mimic current advertising themes where advertisers play on our desire to buy only natural products and through the current marketing visual techniques that are commonly seen in society today.
