91É«ÇéƬ

In this project, I was asked to create an environment using Unreal Engine. I spent a lot of time brainstorming ideas before deciding on a forest setting. However, forests are usually quite simple—when we think of them, we often only imagine trees and grass. This made it challenging for me to add enough detail to my environment.  After discussing with my tutor and friends, I decided to design a mysterious forest with a spiritual theme. I come from Vietnam, an Asian country where Buddhism is very popular, and many people believe in the Buddha. Inspired by this, I wanted to create a sacred forest that could serve as a holy place where the Buddha can rest and feel at peace.  In this environment, there are only trees, grass, and a central Buddha statue. The atmosphere is silent, free of noise and distractions, with no animals or creatures that might disturb the Buddha’s presence. For those fortunate enough to discover this place, they would feel nothing but peace in their souls. Around the main statue, I placed smaller figures representing the Buddha’s attendants, who are there to protect and serve him. 

My name is Tri Duc Nguyen, but you can call me Ducky Nguyen. I completed a Master of Animation and Visual Effects at the University of New South Wales from 2024 to 2025. After graduating, I began working as a 3D Animator and 3D Generalist in Sydney, Australia. During my time at 91É«ÇéƬ, I gained valuable knowledge and experience in the 3D and animation industry, which motivated me even more to pursue my dream career. In particular, through the Real-Time Studio, I had the opportunity to work with Unreal Engine and learn how to create environments for games and short films—skills that have greatly supported my professional growth.  I look forward to continuing to learn new things at the 91É«ÇéƬ Showcase.
