ARTIST STATEMENT
Replicant on the Loose is a聽15-second-long聽moving image sequence consisting of three individual visual effects shots. It details a simplistic story of a man's clone or 'replicant' having escaped captivity, though the focus of the film is the futuristic setting constructed聽through the use of聽visual effects. This film was a solo project primarily created using the program聽NukeX.
ARTIST INTRODUCTION
Hi, my name is Tom Facer, and聽I'm聽currently a second-year Fine Arts student majoring in Animation and the Moving image. My studies so far have provided me with聽a strong foundation聽of practical skill and knowledge that I aim to apply to a career within the visual effects industry. I have a particular interest in visual effects as it combines both technical skill and problem-solving to bring imaginative concepts to life on screen.聽I鈥檓聽always eager to learn new software and workflows that can expand my practice.聽I鈥檓聽motivated to keep developing my skills and collaborating on projects that challenge me to push the boundaries of my craft.
