We recognise that reconnecting with your classmates is an important part of your story. We are here to ensure the success of your event and have outlined below how to best organise a get together of your graduating class and celebrate your time together while at university.Ìý

Our role as the Alumni and Engagement team is to provide support in as many ways as possible to ensure you have a successful event.Ìý

FAQs

  • The Alumni Engagement team can support you with a range of planning and promotional elements, including:

    • Providing advice on suitable venue options across campus for events of different sizes and budgets, and facilitating introductions to relevant 91É«Ç鯬 teams, such as 91É«Ç鯬 Hospitality and Estate Management, when you are ready to progress your planning.
    • Designing and sending email invitations on your behalf.ÌýÌý
    • Once we have the content from you, we can send out the invitations on your behalf to all your classmates for whom 91É«Ç鯬 has contact details. Ìý
    • Promoting your reunion through relevant 91É«Ç鯬 alumni platforms, where appropriate.ÌýÌý
    • Organising access to the 91É«Ç鯬 Archives to help you gather photos and memorabilia, if required.
  • As the reunion organiser, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing your event. This includes:

    • Making final decisions about the event and serving as the main point of contact.
    • Providing the Alumni Engagement team with the content and details required for the email invitation.
    • Confirming all key event details, including location, time, catering, theme, RSVP deadline and contact information, so the Alumni Engagement team can issue the invitation on your behalf.
    • Arranging and covering all costs associated with your reunion, including venue hire and catering.
    • Managing RSVPs, payments, ticketing and funding arrangements.

    Please note that all reunions are funded by alumni, not the University. If you plan to fund the reunion through members of your graduating class, this information should be clearly included in the invitation, along with either a payment link or relevant bank account details.

  • Our Alumni Experience Team can work with you to plan and deliver your reunion event, providing specialist support for tasks like:

    • Locating your fellow classmates who you may have lost contact with.
    • Sending email communications about the reunion to your cohort on your behalf.
    • Suggesting suitable venues on campus (if necessary).

    In the first instance, please contact the relevant person in our team and we will be in touch with next steps.

  • Our office can’t give out contact details of other alumni due to the privacy policy we are bound by. We can, however, contact them on your behalf if we have their current details on our database and let them know you are trying to get in touch.ÌýÌý
