The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) have introduced a revised Open Science Policy, effective February 2026, reinforcing the role of open practices in a strong and transparent knowledge economy.
Join us for an introduction to the policy and what it means in practice.
During this session, you will learn how to meet the new requirements, explore key considerations around research data and licensing, and build your understanding of open access.
There will be time to ask questions and learn from others.

The Australian Research Council (ARC) has updated its听.听This session will support the Australian research community to understand and apply the updated policy ahead of听its commencement on 1 July 2026, and will outline:
- key changes to the Open Access Policy
- the intent of the update
- what the changes mean in practice for researchers and institutions.
Participants also can ask questions and seek clarification directly from the听ARC.
