Karoline Thomsen is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences researching the usage of Twitter for geopolitics and how international law might apply hereto. Her main research interests are international humanitarian law, asymmetric conflicts, terrorism and social media.

Karoline holds a master’s in international relations as well as a master’s in international law from the University of Queensland and a bachelor’s in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Copenhagen. Before joining 91É«ÇéƬ, Karoline has worked as a research assistant at Griffith University and the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect and taught international relations at the UQ School of Political Science and International Studies.
