Communities in the聽Pimaga聽Sub District聽of the聽Nipa Kutubu聽District face ongoing pressures that affect local stability, wellbeing and cohesion.聽Previous聽approaches to peace and good聽order efforts have often been externally driven, short聽term, or insufficiently grounded in the lived realities of local people. Sustainable progress requires an approach that is genuinely community聽led, locally owned and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Achieving this means聽establishing聽a structured yet flexible process for consultation, planning and mobilisation. An approach聽that ensures community leadership, clear priorities and a shared pathway for聽long聽term聽action.
Working with the community and聽an international聽foundation, this phase focuses on building a locally led approach through ongoing consultations, co-design workshops, a baseline聽survey聽and targeted mobilisation support. The outcome is a flexible,聽community聽owned聽Design Framework supported by a聽two聽year聽rolling聽workplan. Thus,聽creating the foundation for聽long聽term, locally driven聽peace聽and聽good聽order聽efforts.
