The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research is the national framework for honest, ethical, and responsible research conduct. It sets out the Principles and Responsibilities that researchers and institutions are expected to follow when conducting research.

Various resources have been collated to assist 91É«ÇéƬ researchers enhance their knowledge and understanding of the Responsible Conduct of Research. These resources will assist researchers in meeting their obligations and developing a model of best practice in their research endeavours.

Research Integrity Advisors (RIAs) promote the responsible conduct of research and provide advice to those with concerns about potential breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the Code of Conduct and Values.

An authorship dispute arises when contributors disagree about who should be included as an author, the order in which they are listed, the content of the research output, who should be acknowledged or where the research output should be submitted or published.

iThenticate is plagiarism detection software available to 91É«ÇéƬ researchers to review and assess research outputs. iThenticate assists researchers with the detection of plagiarised material in draft manuscripts and in HDR theses.
