The key features of the new flex-semester calendar include:

  • Two 12-week teaching semesters plus a mid-semester break 
  • Optional six-week Summer and Winter terms for short, intensive or catch-up courses 
  • Embedded six-week teaching blocks for greater flexibility in course design and delivery

Over the next two and a half years, the project team will work with the 91É«ÇéƬ community to prepare for the 2028 flex-semester calendar implementation, ensuring readiness across learning, teaching and operational systems.

Consultation with over 1,000 stakeholders has helped lay the foundation for a smooth transition and identification of priority activities, ensuring everyone affected will be informed, prepared and supported.
